A Significant Milestone In TBS' Development

The newbuilds M/V Rockaway Belle and M/V Dakota Princess delivered to TBS in the Third Quarter of 2009 and First Quarter of 2010, respectively, a significant milestone for the Company. TBS has on order with Chinese shipyards four additional Roymar Class 34,000 dwt multipurpose vessels with retractable tweendecks, of which two are scheduled for delivery in 2010, and the remaining two in 2011, contributing to the renewal of the TBS fleet.

TBS is investing in the future as it continuously seeks new solutions to meet the growing demands of globalization. These newly-constructed ships will have increased cargo capacity and improved efficiencies.

TBS has successfully launched two of its four newbuild vessels under construction at the shipyard in China: the M/V MONTAUK MAIDEN in November 2009 and the M/V OMAHA BELLE in April 2010.

The M/V ROCKAWAY BELLE vessel was officially named by its sponsor, Mrs. Elaine Royce, in honor of the brave men and women from Rockaway Beach, New York City, who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
